Paul Finebaum discusses what kind of person Nick Saban is in real life

Just about every football coach has an on-the-field and off-the-field persona. Alabama head coach Nick Saban is no different, as college football analyst Paul Finebaum recently dove into on one of the latest episodes of “25 Whistles.”
Host Bobby Bones noted the man at the helm of the Crimson Tide’s uncanny ability to be hilarious without trying to be hilarious at press conferences and asked Finebaum for his take on how Saban is as a person.
“Believe it or not, I’m working on a book,” Finebaum said. “And he’s a big part of the book and I’m gonna try to explain the psychology of Nick Saban. He is not someone, Bobby, that you want to grab and probably be entertained by, but he can be fun.And one thing about (him) that you’ll appreciate is that the best conversations I’ve ever had with Nick Saban were not about football, but about music.”
Apparently, Saban revealed to Finebaum that he had played an Eagles live album over and over again for six months, as Finebaum goes on to explain and that and more in the podcast.

Moving into the college football season in which Alabama opens against Utah State, he’ll enjoy the tune of opening the year ranked as the No. 1 team in the nation with a quarterback largely favored to win the Heisman Trophy and a Crimson Tide squad expected to win it all.
