Paul Finebaum says Arch Manning ‘proved everything’ in Texas’s win over Ohio State

The Texas Longhorns stunned the college football world this past Saturday when they successfully mounted a 20-point second-half comeback to beat the top-ranked Ohio State Buckeyes in what is an early contender for game of the year.
Star Longhorns quarterback Arch Manning played a shining role in Texas’ massive come-from-behind win over the Buckeyes, completing 23/37 passes for 195 yards and 1 touchdown, and guiding a masterful game-winning drive that would make both of his Super Bowl-winning uncles proud.
SEC Network analyst Paul Finebaum broke down Manning’s masterful performance on Monday morning’s episode of First Take on ESPN, and he had some very high praise for the junior gunslinger when asked what he thought Arch proved on Saturday.
“He proved everything,” Finebaum said. “… What you saw Saturday night is what people have been telling anyone who will listen for about a year and a half. That he is the personification of a great college quarterback. He proved it.”
Finebaum has been one of the biggest Arch supporters over the past couple of years, singing his praises since before he even set foot on campus in Austin. Like many who hopped on the Arch train early, he took a ton of flak for how things played out last season for both Manning and the Longhorns.
Despite all of this, Finebaum never wavered in his support of the uber-talented signal caller. As such, Saturday night was certainly vindicating for him and Arch supporters across the country.
If Manning can continue his stellar play against OSU for the rest of the season, then there is a very real chance he ends up becoming everything that folks like Finebaum have said he will be and then some.
