Paul Finebaum participated in his first Twitter Spaces event and brought in some well-known names across college football.

The ESPN commentator discussed news and developments with South Carolina coach Shane Beamer, ESPN sideline reporter Holly Rowe, SEC Network analyst Roman Harper and former Alabama QB Blake Sims.

“I had a blast just looking at the board and pivoting,” Finebaum said. “I don’t want anybody from my show to hear this but in many ways, this (Spaces) is a lot more fun than what we do every afternoon.”

For Rowe, she reacted to the new media rights deal with the Big Ten, and said no longer covering Big Ten games on ESPN is “kinda going to break my heart.”

Beamer explained how the Gamecocks use the social media platform.

‘(Twitter) is a way to get our message out,” Beamer said. “It’s a way to communicate to recruits. I’m sure most recruits are in school now, but I hope a few of them are on here listening. You want to be plugged in to your players and a way to communicate with your fanbase. We see these guys for 4 hours a day. That’s what we’re allowed. We work really hard during the day, so to have 5 minutes to check my phone or retweet something, it’s part of the job now.”
