Pete Golding and the Ole Miss Rebels got a huge win on Saturday night, as they won the Lane Kiffin return, 32-24. Quarterback Trinidad Chambliss had a monster game, as he finished with 363 passing yards and three total touchdowns.

While there were many positives in the game on Saturday, one of the big concerns from the game was the health of superstar running back Kewan Lacy. He left the game against LSU with a shoulder injury. After the game, Golding shared good news on Lacy’s status.

“It was negative on the X-ray,” Pete Golding said.

Lacy had a solid game last night, finishing with nine carries for 43 yards. When Lacy left the game, JT Lindsay came in and finished with 20 yards. The LSU defense became much more aggressive when he was out, and they sent a lot more blitzes at Chambliss.

Chambliss put together a spectacular night for the Rebels, however, Lacy’s value can’t be understated. When he is able to run the ball, that forces to put extra guys at the line of scrimmage. That makes the passing game even more dangerous, especially downfield.

The Rebels will be back in action next week against a Florida team that is coming off a huge win against Auburn on Saturday.
