The USA Today preseason coaches poll has been released.
Ohio State claimed the No. 1 spot, followed by another Big Ten program at No. 2. Georgia and Texas represented the SEC in the top 5 with Texas A&M, Oklahoma and Ole Miss claiming spots in the top 10.
A total of 9 SEC programs cracked the top 25. Alabama and LSU are also in the top 15 while Tennessee and Mizzou also made the cut. The SEC’s 9 teams is the most of any conference, followed by the Big Ten (8), Big 12 (4) and ACC (3). Zero teams from the group-of-6 conferences made the top 25.

The preseason media poll from the Associated Press is expected to be released in the coming weeks. Ohio State is likely to be the preseason No. 1 team in that poll as well, though Georgia and Oregon could also be contenders.
