President Donald Trump made a post on social media Thursday voicing his full support for the passage of the Protect College Sports Act, a bipartisan bill introduced by Senators Ted Cruz (TX) and Maria Cantwell (WA).

In the post, Trump comments that college sports is a “total mess” that threatens eradicate sports from most colleges, specifically mentioning women’s sports and the Olympics as being in the most danger.

Trumps ended his post by urging the House and Senate to work together to pass a law that he can sign as soon as this summer to “save college sports.”

It’s worth noting that the SEC and Big Ten released a joint statement on Tuesday of this week saying that while the 2 bodies support “a sustainable national framework for college sports,” they do not support the Protect College Sports Act as currently drafted, insisting the bill leaves critical issues such as rule enforcement and revenue sharing inadequately addressed.

Senator Cruz later responded to Trump’s endorsement, saying the following:

“The chaos must end. Our bill, the Protect College Sports Act, establishes clear national rules for college athletics, protects student-athletes, and preserves the historic rivalries that make college sports special.”
