Former Alabama LB Rashaan Evans made a play he won’t soon forget on Sunday playing for the Tennessee Titans against the Kansas City Chiefs.

Evans returned a fumble 53 yards for a touchdown as he scooped it up and didn’t break stride, then sped away from would-be tacklers for his first NFL touchdown. That gave the Titans a 13-10 lead with 6:14 left in the first half.

Evans has developed into a solid player for the Titans since they traded up to select him with the 22nd overall pick in the first round of the 2018 NFL Draft.

The 6-foot-2 inch, 232-pound defender as a rookie appeared in 15 games with seven starts at inside linebacker. He made 63 tackles, six quarterback pressures, two tackles for loss and three passes broken up.

At Alabama, Evans tied for a team-leading 74 tackles as a senior while helping the Crimson Tide capture a 2018 College Football Playoff National Championship title.

Overall in his college career, Evans appeared in 53 games with 14 starts and totaled 152 tackles, 15.0 sacks, 23.5 tackles for loss, five passes defensed, 19 quarterback hurries, two forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries. He started 14 games over his final two seasons and appeared in three CFP National Championship contests with two victories.
