We’re just days away from Lee Corso’s final show for College GameDay and recent stars are paying tribute to the living legend.
Corso’s final appearance on College GameDay is slated for Aug. 30 as the crew is in Columbus for No. 1 Texas at No. 3 Ohio State.
The College GameDay account posted a touching video of players shouting out Corso, who is an inaugural member of the show.
“He’s the OG of College GameDay,” Detroit Lions defensive end Aidan Hutchinson said. “He will always be such a legendary figure in that space and 1 that I’ll never forget.”
New York Jets cornerback Sauce Gardner is in disbelief that College GameDay will be without the iconic Corso after this week.
“That is crazy he’s retiring. He’s meant a lot to the sport of college football,” Gardner said. “Just the energy that he brought pre-game. It made families wake up just to watch him.”
Atlanta Falcons running back Bijan Robinson cherishes being able to meet Corso.
“Even just me having my time to meet him and talk to him and to just be around him, just 1 of the coolest guys ever,” Robinson said. “He’s obviously done unbelievable things in his life and in his career.”
Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott wrapped up the video signifying Corso’s impact and belting out his epic catchphrase.
“Lee Corso has been everything to college football. Anyone that follows college football from it being College GameDay to the video game understands the impact he’s made, his voice,” Prescott said. “You can’t say college football without thinking Lee Corso. Not so fast, my friend.”
