4-star Texas lineman Savion Byrd announces his college commitment

One of the top offensive linemen in Texas is leaving the state, but staying in Big 12 territory.
Duncanville standout Savion Byrd announced his commitment to Oklahoma live on CBS HQ, going “Horns Down.”

Byrd is rated the No. 9 offensive tackle, No. 11 recruit in Texas and No. 62 prospect overall nationally on the 247Sports Composite.
LSU and Auburn were finalists for Byrd, along with SMU. He also had offers from Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, Mizzou and Texas A&M.
