During the LSU game on Wednesday, which Alabama lost, forward Herb Jones took a hard fall.

Now, it appears that fall has caused an injury that will sideline him for the for foreseeable future.

Per TideSports.com, Jones will be out indefinitely after suffering a wrist injury that required surgery:

Herb Jones, the defensive leader of the University of Alabama basketball team, will be sidelined indefinitely after undergoing surgery for a fractured left wrist on Saturday per sources familiar with the situation.

As the report notes, Jones is a big-time defender, especially against opposing teams’ wing players. Not having him out there will hurt the Tide defense.

We’ll see how long Jones will be out, but the Tide need him to come back quickly to keep their positive momentum going.
