The Clarion-Ledger is reporting that former Mississippi State quarterback Dak Prescott was arrested for a DUI early Saturday morning in Starkville, Miss.

For now the details are scarce other than that he was driving a 2016 Cadillac Escalade.

While there is no good timing to be arrested for driving under the influence, the arrest happening less than two months before the NFL Draft is unfortunate timing for Prescott.

Prescott has seen NFL Draft projections anywhere from the second round to a late round pick.

With news of the DUI, it’s likely that it will be a topic surrounding Prescott from now through the draft.

Considering what the Dallas Cowboys said about Johnny Manziel this week, it’s reasonable to think that some teams might move Prescott down their draft boards as a result of this off-field incident.
