Heading into the bye this weekend, the Texas A&M Aggies will have to deal with some bad news, as it was reported that a player was arrested for theft on Monday.
According to SportsDay.DallasNews.com, freshman DL Ondario Robinson now faces a misdemeanor theft charge after his Monday arrest.
Robinson hasn’t played at all this season, but the former 3-star recruit was an important part of the Aggies’ 2017 recruiting class.
Robinson’s charge is for theft of an item between $100 and $750, but it is unclear what he allegedly stole at this time.
Coach Kevin Sumlin has yet to comment on the arrest, and it remains to be seen when he’ll do so as the Aggies enter their bye week.
UPDATE: Apparently, Robinson was caught taking a “bait bike” planted by the Texas A&M university police department:
I obtained the probable cause statement: Robinson was arrested on charges of taking a "bait bike" on campus owned by UPD. It's worth $350.
