Lane Kiffin has reportedly “zeroed in” on his top target for Ole Miss offensive coordinator.

ESPN’s Chris Low, who just published an all-access feature on Kiffin, is reporting that Kiffin is looking to hire UCF’s Jeff Lebby as the new Rebels offensive coordinator.

Lebby, who is also the Knights quarterbacks coach, joined the UCF staff in 2017 and was promoted to offensive coordinator in 2019. Lebby’s background includes various staff positions at Baylor (passing game coordinator, offensive recruiting coordinator, running backs coach, assistant director of football operations). Lebby was named FootballScoop’s Running Backs Coach of the Year in 2013 after coaching Baylor’s first back-to-back 1,000-yard rushers. In between Baylor and UCF, he served one season as the offensive coordinator for Southeastern University, an NAIA program.

Reports this weekend had linked another former Baylor staffer, ex-Florida State OC Kendal Briles to the position.
