The Nebraska Cornhuskers have made a few additions to their coaching staff, per reports that came out on Monday.
One of the names being added to the staff as an offensive analyst is a notable person — former Oregon player Keanon Lowe.
As you can see below, The Athletic’s Bruce Feldman reported that Lowe, along with Bill Busch and Marcus Castro-Walker, would be joining Scott Frost’s off-field coaching staff:
Nebraska is hiring Marcus Castro-Walker as the Director of Player Development; former #LSU assistant Bill Busch as a Defensive Analyst, and #UCLA's Keanon Lowe as an Offensive Analyst.

If Lowe’s name sounds familiar, it’s because he helped disarm a would-be school shooter in Portland back in 2019. You can read the amazing story about that day and Lowe’s role in the link below:
Keanon Lowe, Nebraska's new offensive analyst, earned widespread attention in 2019 for diverting a potential school shooting. He disarmed a student in Portland. Story here from @ESPNRittenberg. https://t.co/fJtQeDLRZe

Lowe played at Oregon during his career. He has spent time as an assistant at the college ranks before. He spent 2020 as a graduate assistant at UCLA under Chip Kelly, who was his coach at Oregon.
