On Monday, it was reported that the Mountain West Conference decided to cancel fall sports, including football. That conference joined the MAC as the 2 Group of 5 leagues to cancel football thus far.

On Monday evening, the Sun Belt reportedly decided to go in a different direction from the MWC and MAC.

Per Stadium’s Brett McMurphy, the Sun Belt is going to follow the SEC’s lead and play sports in the fall:

The Sun Belt spans many of the same states as the SEC, so it’s understandable why the league will try to play this fall.

There’s still time for things to change, but for now, the Sun Belt is on board for playing. That leaves the AAC and Conference USA as the 2 Group of 5 conferences that have yet to make a decision.
