Georgia rising defensive coordinator Jeremy Pruitt has “zero chance” to be retained byย the Bulldogs, according to NFL.com’s Chase Goodbread, who also covers college football for the site.
This report falls in line with a previous oneย by Chip Towers of Dawg Nation, which statedย thatย Pruitt staying on at Georgiaย โis not expected to be a viable optionโ due to a conflict stemming from his reputation within the athletic department.
Strong source from my days as a beat writer says UGA DC Jeremy Pruitt won't be retained on Smart staff. Zero chance, I was told.

While Pruitt’s job status has been in jeopardy,ย numerousย Bulldogs playersย have shown supportย forย keeping Pruitt, and it’s safe to say hisย departureย would have an impact on at least a few recruits, ones that are already committed and others the school is targeting.
Nonetheless, it seems as though there’s a good chance Smart will stay with the program through the season, according toย Phil Savage.
Phil Savage says on XM/Sirius sources tell him Kirby Smart will stay on through bowl/playoff.
