Georgia continues to receive positive news around Richard LeCounte III after the star safety was injured in a motorcycle accident on Saturday. LeCounte was moved from the ICU to a regular hospital room at the end of the weekend, and he was released from the hospital since then, coach Kirby Smart said Wednesday.

“Yeah, he was released,” Smart said on the SEC coaches media teleconference. “He came over, was in the training room yesterday and was able to get some different treatment things, some rehab.”

LeCounte also made an appearance on Instagram Live recently, and reassured the audience that “I’m OK,” or “I’m good,” Brandon Sudge of the Macon Telegraph reported.

On Monday, LeCounte posted on Twitter that “all is well.”

It’s unclear how long LeCounte will be out, but he will miss Saturday’s game with Florida. It remains to be seen how much more time he misses beyond that.

He’s a leader in the Georgia secondary, and one of the key players on the Bulldogs’ defense. This season, he’s recorded 26 tackles and 3 interceptions.
