Michigan is set to travel to Oklahoma‘s Memorial Stadium to take on the Sooners in a No. 15 versus No. 18 Week 2 matchup.

Both Michigan and Oklahoma are coming off Week 1 wins.

Michigan beat New Mexico 34-17 in star freshman Bryce Underwood’s first career game. He threw for 251 yards and a touchdown. It was running back Justice Haynes that was the star for Michigan, rushing for 159 yards and 3 touchdowns in their win.

Oklahoma beat down on Illinois State in their Week 1 matchup, winning 35-3. Quarterback John Mateer looked great, completing 30 of his 37 passing attempts for 392 yards and 3 touchdowns. However, he did have 1 interception as well.

Rick Neuheisel is riding with the Wolverines this week to get the win on the road. Neuheisel said Michigan defensive coordinator Don “Wink” Martindale is the reason he is picking the Wolverines over the Sooners.

Neuheisel believes Martindale has the game plan for how to handle dual-threat quarterbacks. The CBS Sports analyst pointed to how Michigan was able to limit Alabama quarterback Jalen Milroe’s rushing ability in their bowl game last year. Milroe rushed 16 times for only 7 yards in a 19-13 Michigan win.

This will be a huge game for Michigan, who doesn’t have another currently ranked opponent on its schedule until its final game of the regular season against No. 1 Ohio State.
