Texas A&M running back Rueben Owens suffered an apparent lower body injury. Team doctors were reportedly looking at Owens’ right leg, but nothing has been confirmed as we enter the midway point of the 4th quarter.

Owens suffered the injury on a 6-yard gain as Texas A&M drove to take the lead late vs. South Carolina and had to be helped off the field by team trainers after showing obvious pain.

Here’s a look at the play:

Owens was not having the best day for the Aggies, but he had a couple good runs on the drive he would eventually exit. The star Aggies running back has totaled 8 carries for 28 yards on the afternoon.

Texas A&M has come roaring all the way back after trailing 30-3 at halftime. The Aggies now lead 31-30 with just over 10 minutes remaining in the 4th quarter. Marcel Reed completely flipped the game out of the halftime break and has now thrown for 3 touchdowns with a rushing touchdown by EJ Smith to take the lead.

For reference, SEC teams are 0-286 when trailing by 27 points since 2004, according to the ESPN broadcast.
