Sam Leavitt taking heat after brutal first half vs. Ole Miss

It was a less than ideal first half for Sam Leavitt and the LSU Tigers.
LSU trails Ole Miss 24-7 entering the start of the 3rd quarter, and the Arizona State transfer is running for his life in the backfield. Leavitt has already been sacked 3 times as consistent Ole Miss pressure is too much for LSU’s offensive line.
Leavitt has been shaky with a clean pocket, too. He’s thrown a few balls behind receivers and has hit very few explosive plays, sitting at 9-of-14 completions for 51 yards and zero touchdowns. Leavitt is averaging 3.6 yards per attempt — a genuinely woeful number if LSU wants to escape Oxford with a win.
