Sam Leavitt threads the needle, hits Jackson Harris for 16-yard touchdown

That’ll do, Sam Leavitt.
The LSU quarterback is having a much better evening than he did last week against Ole Miss. Thanks to Leavitt and Tigers running back Dillin Jones, LSU leads Texas A&M 14-3 entering the halftime break.
One of Leavitt’s throws was among his most impressive of the 2026 season thus far. Leavitt fit a perfect ball into a tight window just under the outstretched arms of an Aggies defender, right to Jackson Harris for a 16-yard touchdown.

Leavitt has been much better about going through his progressions so far on Saturday. The Tigers quarterback is up to 152 passing yards on 8-of-12 passes with 1 touchdown and zero turnovers. In addition, Leavitt has only rushed 5 times for 22 yards — showing more of a willingness to hang in the pocket and pick the Aggies defense apart.
Obviously, there’s still a lot of football to be played in Baton Rouge. Texas A&M hasn’t been able to finish drives thus far, sitting with just one field goal after 30 minutes of action.
