Sam Pittman expects a different look from Mississippi State than in past seasons when the Razorbacks face the Bulldogs on Saturday.

MSU used to run the Air Raid offense, but the Bulldogs feature a more balanced attack this season. The Bulldogs have 1,336 yards passing and 917 yards rushing. The Bulldogs are also facing key injuries to Will Rogers and Jo’Quavious Marks.

โ€œThey always have a great running back. They have three they play but with [Joโ€™Quavious] Marks โ€ฆ heโ€™s a really good player, and heโ€™s been beat up a little bit, too, but the bye week probably came at a good time for Mississippi State,โ€ Pittman told reporters on Monday.

Marks has 458 yards rushing and 4 TDs this season to lead the ground game. Bulldogs quarterback Mike Wright, and running back Seth Davis both have more than 100 yards rushing this fall.

โ€œThey want to run the stretch. They want to run a little counter. They want to run inside zone,โ€ Pittman said. โ€œTheyโ€™re very similar to us, to be honest with you, offensively with [Will] Rogers back there.โ€

Rogers, the Bulldogs main quarterback, doesnโ€™t have to do it all without an Air Raid offense. He has 1,275 yards passing for 10 TDs versus 4 interceptions this season.

โ€œTheyโ€™re not Air Raid by any stretch,โ€ Pittman said.
