Sam Pittman and Arkansas will travel to play at Auburn this week, and are in a good position injury-wise.
About Arkansas’ injury situation coming out of the bye week, Pittman said they plan to look at Myles Slusher at practice on Monday and see how he feels. He also said that they will have Khari Johnson and Jayden Johnson back, Malik Chavis should be back at practice Tuesday and he hopes Latavious Brini’s lingering ankle issue has healed.
Rocket Sanders has 870 rushing yards and 7 touchdowns on the season, and Pittman is impressed with his development. Against BYU, Sanders turned in the best rushing performance of his career with 15 carries for 175 yards and 2 scores.
“Rocket is a competitor,” Pittman said. “A guy that’s mature for his age, very much so. I think he can handle the load that he’s getting right now. Obviously we have 4 backs that we think are pretty good players, but it’s his ball as long as he’s not tired, we’re going to give him the ball.”
