Scott Van Pelt makes pick against the spread in Florida State vs. Florida game
Scott Van Pelt makes his picks against the spread before each Saturday of college football action. In this week’s version of Van Pelt’s “Winners,” the Florida State-Florida matchup made the cut.
Van Pelt took to social media to unveil 9 underdog plays he likes this week. The Gators were included as 6.5-point underdogs at home against the Seminoles.
Guess Charlie’s days as a tout hype man are done. ?♂️. Who is interested in 9 ‘dogs this final full CFB weekend? Show of hands? Not a single human. I get it. “Winners” lines from @ESPNBet
TCU + 9 1/2
Arkansas + 9
Kentucky + 7 1/2
Arizona State + 11
Auburn + 13
Florida + 6 1/2…— Scott Van Pelt (@notthefakeSVP) November 24, 2023
The Noles will be without starting QB Jordan Travis after he suffered a devastating injury last week.
In the series, the Gators have 37 wins while the Noles have 27. The Noles came out on top in 2022, winning 45-38 in Tallahassee. Before that matchyup, the Gators had won 3 straight in the series.
With a win, the Noles would finish the regular season with a perfect 12-0 record and keep their College Football Playoff hopes alive. The Gators, meanwhile, are hoping to qualify for a bowl. At 5-6, the Gators need to beat their in-state rival to reach postseason play.
The Noles and Gators will kick off from Gainesville at 7:00 p.m. Eastern on Saturday.
