The SEC is still well-represented in the ESPN Power Rankings, as 6 teams are in the Top 25 after Week 1.

SEC heavyweights like Georgia, Alabama and Tennessee were all in the top 10 after they scored lopsided victories. However, the SEC suffered humbling defeats as Florida, South Carolina and LSU lost to Utah, North Carolina and Florida State.

Outside of the SEC, Colorado drew many of the headlines, however, Florida State scored 31 consecutive points against LSU on Sunday, and ESPN voters moved them from preseason No. 7 in the power rankings to No. 2.

As for LSU, ESPN wrote, “The offense clearly needs some work after a lousy effort against Florida State, particularly in the red zone. … But perhaps more troubling was the play of the secondary, which flat out got exposed by Keon Coleman, Johnny Wilson and Co.”

For the Rebels, ESPN wrote that the QB competition must’ve motivated Jaxson Dart as he completed his first 11 passes. Then Tre Harris set an Ole Miss single-game record with 4 touchdown receptions.

Here are the SEC teams in the latest rankings:

No. 1 Georgia Bulldogs (1-0)
No. 4 Alabama Crimson Tide (1-0)
No. 9 Tennessee Volunteers (1-0)
No. 17 LSU Tigers (0-1)
No. 18 Ole Miss Rebels (1-0)
No. 22 Texas A&M Aggies (1-0)
