SEC lands 9 players on Associated Press All-America first team

The SEC, particularly the teams that made the College Football Playoff, was well represented on the Associated Press All-America first team.

The SEC had 9 players make the first team, including 3 from Alabama, and 2 each from Georgia and Texas A&M. To no surprise for anyone who watched this season, there were 4 SEC defenders among the linemen and linebackers who made the team.

Alabama QB Bryce Young, who won the Heisman Trophy on Saturday, made the first team, along with OL Darian Kinnard of Kentucky and OL Kenyon Green of Texas A&M, WR Jameson Williams of Alabama, Georgia DL Jordan Davis, Texas A&M DL Demarvin Leal, Alabama LB Will Anderson, Jr., Georgia LB Nakobe Dean and Auburn CB Roger McCreary.
