SEC Nation has been travelling across the SEC throughout the season, airing their pre-game show on-location at the campus of each week’s biggest games. This week, the crew will be headed to Knoxville for this week’s big rivalry game between Tennessee and Alabama.
The game, known as ‘The Third Saturday in October,’ features two teams that each have only one loss on the season.
The Crimson Tide lost for the first time this year last weekend, dropping a thrilling 20-17 game to Georgia. Keelon Russell came back to earth on Saturday, finishing 16-of-30 for 185 yards and one touchdown. The weather played a role in that, but the Volunteers also have an elite defense.
Tennessee is coming off a 24-17 road victory at Arkansas, and star running back DeSean Bishop once again played a huge role in the game. He finished with 138 yards and one touchdown, giving George MacIntyre someone who can help the offense stay in good situations.
This is always a big game, and this year is no different. Both teams are in a good spot in both the SEC and the College Football Playoff race, but the loser of this game will eliminate their margin of error.
