SEC Network host Peter Burns makes emphatic pick for Mizzou-Texas game

This weekend’s SEC slate is absolutely loaded.
You have LSU hosting Alabama, Ole Miss taking on Georgia in Oxford, Kentucky visiting Rocky Top in a rivalry game against Tennessee and, perhaps overlooked, you have the Texas Longhorns visiting the Missouri Tigers.
Both teams enter this matchup with 6-2 overall records and 3-2 marks in SEC play. Basically, this has all the feel of a College Football Playoff elimination game. At some point, a 3-loss team will make the CFP field, but it might not be either of these teams.
SEC Network host Peter Burns likes the Tigers on Saturday at Faurot Field, where Mizzou is undefeated this year:
“Missouri is winning this ballgame,” Burns said. “Better QB, better wide receiver corps, better running back, they’re more physical.”
Mizzou does have its RB tandem of Ahmad Hardy and Jamal Roberts back now that Hardy has returned from his offseason gunshot wound. Austin Simmons is playing better this year than Arch Manning.
Still, this is a talented Texas squad, so it’ll be a tough, grind-it-out game for both sides on Saturday at noon ET. The game will air on ABC.
Texas is favored by 3 points at most sportsbooks ahead of Saturday’s kickoff.
