Summer is always a busy time for college football recruiting. With school out, prospects are taking visits to various schools, and some of those prospects decide to announce their plans for college.

As the calendar flips from June to July, Texas A&M is atop the 247Sports Composite recruiting rankings with the No. 1 class in the nation. The Aggies don’t just have one of the largest classes right now with 25 verbal pledges, they also boast an impressive blue-chip ratio of 68 percent, with 6 5-stars and 11 4-star recruits in the class.

Looking over the number of commitments, it’s evident that teams are in various stages of building their classes, with some filling up, while others have plenty of open spots remaining. There are also likely to be some flips between now and the Early Signing Period.

We’ll see if there’s any change in the rankings over the month of July.
