Sunday was one of the wildest days in SEC football history. If the 5 hirings and 1 firing had you wondering how SEC Shorts would cover the craziness, wait no more.

As one would expect, Lane Kiffin‘s messy exit from Ole Miss to become the LSU head coach is one of the main storylines. It starts with checking on Marty Smith, the ESPN reporter who was at the Ole Miss facilities all weekend on a “Kiffin watch” that called to mind “Panda watch” from the movie “Anchorman.”

The show’s representation of Auburn is shown threatening to burn it all down if the program hired DJ Durkin as the full-time head coach. He’s pleasantly surprised that the school went with Alex Golesh.

The College Football Playoff comes up next. Texas defeated No. 3 Texas A&M on Friday, but SEC Shorts ribs the Longhorns over their CFP resume, which includes a bad loss to Florida and an overtime win over Kentucky. Battered Aggie Syndrome shows up to remind Texas A&M that SEC champion Alabama could send Texas A&M further down the rankings and a potentially undesirable matchup.

And then it’s back to Kiffin. SEC Shorts does not hold back.

ESPN and agent Jimmy Sexton are strongly called out for network personalities’ public stances taken on whether Kiffin should coach in the CFP. And, of course, there was guaranteed to be a “hoe” reference after Friday’s incidents.

When things reach “full hoe,” it’s goodbye to anything “sip” branded. Tennessee shows up, providing insight on how to handle a messy Kiffin split.

The E:60 documentary The Many Lives of Lane Kiffin gets an update to The Many F—ups of Lane Kiffin.

An updated “trailer” offers, “What if I were to tell you, that a grown man, on his eighth try, had learned absolutely nothing.”

Focus shifts to Florida, which hired Jon Sumrall. The SEC office notes that a Billy Napier 2.0 hashtag is trending on social media, and Florida is quite upset with athletic director Scott Stricklin for failing to secure Kiffin.

When the SEC checks in on Kentucky, Mark Stoops is shown running away with bags full of money, joking that he doesn’t have to worry about his buyout being offset. News of Stoops’ dismissal came late Sunday and was made official Monday morning.

The SEC chooses not to rain on Vanderbilt’s parade that despite a 10-win season, its highly unlikely the Commodores make the Playoff. LSU as the winner of the Kiffin sweepstakes, is loving everything. For now, LSU is sure that nothing bad will come of hiring Kiffin.

We get all the way to the Kirk Herbstreit appearance before Arkansas is acknowledged in a post-credit scene. Arkansas thought it was hiring Golesh, but that, of course, didn’t work out. Memphis coach Ryan Silverfield is the new head coach of the Razorbacks, and that has “Arkansas” elect to “go cry in the parking lot.”
