SEC vs. Big 12 power rankings in Week 10

While undefeated LSU goes to one-loss Alabama this week in the SEC in the most high-profile game of the day, the Big 12 can do one better โ€“ at least from a record standpoint. The Big 12 has a matchup of unbeaten in ย TCU playing Oklahoma State Saturday, and both still play unbeaten Baylor down the road.

Here is how the two conference’s teams compare using theย Saturday Down South power rankings:

PLAYOFF CONTENDERS

These teams have the inside track to make the playoffs. A couple of these might drop out of contention Saturday:

1. LSU (7-0)
2. TCU (8-0)
3. Baylor (7-0)
4. Oklahoma State (7-0)
5. Alabama (7-1)
6. Florida (7-1)

CONTENDERS

These squads still have a shot at making some noise and can still win titles by controlling their own destiny.

7. Ole Miss (7-2)
8. Oklahoma (7-1)

CHALLENGERS

These teams are playing well and will make the rest of the season quite interesting for their opponents:

9. Mississippi State (7-2)
10. Texas A&M (6-2)
11. Texas Tech (5-4)

NO ONE WANTS TO PLAY

These teams are capable to beating anyone, at least on some days:

12. Georgia (5-3)
13. Arkansas (4-4)
14. Tennessee (4-4)

ON THE UPSWING

Although these teams have underachieved, they have gotten better throughout the season

17. Iowa State (3-4)
