Shane Beamer stokes the flames of fired up Gamecock fans ahead of season opener

Shane Beamer has brought a lot of energy and recruiting momentum to the South Carolina program this year. And 2 weeks out from the season opener, he’s imploring fans to bring the same energy to Williams-Brice Stadium.
“We’re in this thing together and you guys are creating that energy as well, so thank you,” Beamer said Friday night at an event. “It is felt in recruiting, I promise you, and thank you so much. Love being back, it’s a dream being back here. The best days of South Carolina football are about to take place. Can’t wait to do it with all of you. You guys have a fantastic time tonight. Not too good a time, we need you even more lively and ready to roll 2 weeks from tomorrow when we are back at Williams-Brice Stadium with all of you and 85,000 other of our closest friends. Go Gamecocks!”
The Gamecocks open the season on Sept. 4 against Eastern Illinois.
