Shaun Shivers has announced his transfer destination as the former Auburn running back said he’ll play next season for the Indiana Hoosiers.
Shivers, a senior running back with 1 year of eligibility left due to COVID, entered the transfer portal nearly 2 weeks ago. Shivers graduated from Auburn on Friday and will use his extra year of eligibility to play for the Hoosiers next season.
The 5-foot-7, 189-pounder out of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., spent 4 seasons in a supporting role in Auburn’s backfield over 43 games for the Tigers from 2018 to 2021.
A former 4-star prospect from the Class of 2018, Shivers ran for 1,020 yards and 8 touchdowns during his 4 seasons at Auburn. Shivers scored twice on just 3 touches in the opener, he missed Auburn’s next 2 games and saw his playing time decrease. Shivers had just 14 carries on the year. He was the 10th-ranked all-purpose back in his class and the No. 344 overall prospect, per the 247Sports Composite.
