Smoke Monday has confirmed he’s off to the NFL Draft after one final game in an Auburn uniform.

Monday has played in 49 games over the last 4 years. The NCAA did not count the 2020 season against players’ “play 4-in-5” eligibility window due to the pandemic, meaning Monday could have returned for the 2022 season.

“I definitely will be coming out this year. These last four years have been great for me,” Monday told reporters, per On3. “There have been different changes since I’ve been here. But like my coaches say, change is going to happen, it’s just about how you adapt to it. I feel like I adapted very well to it.”

While Roger McCreary and Zakoby McClain have opted out of the Birmingham Bowl, Monday will play for AU against Houston on Tuesday.

“I’m playing because me personally, I love ball. I’m all about ball,” Monday said. “If I get to play an extra game, I want to do it. I want to go out with a win for these guys. I probably won’t play with these guys ever again. To go out like we did against Alabama, we played well, but we didn’t get the win. I want to go out with a win.”

This season, Monday has logged 59 tackles, including 8 for loss, 2 sacks, 6 passes defended and an interception.
