Sophie Cunningham played her college basketball at Missouri, so she knows all about the animosity in the rivalry with Kansas.

The two schools played on Saturday for the first time since 2011, and the Tigers won by a score of 42-31. The game lived up to the billing, as the Jayhawks stormed out to a 21-6 lead before Missouri rallied and got the win.

During the game, a Missouri student had a chance to win $25,000 if he made a kick. However, instead of aiming to make it, he turned and kicked it right toward the KU bench. He instantly became a Missouri legend, and Cunningham wants to send him a signed jersey as a token of appreciation.

Cunningham grew up in Missouri before playing her college basketball for the Tigers. She started 129 games for Missouri, averaging 17 points and 5.4 rebounds.

She was drafted No. 13 by the Phoenix Mercury in the 2019 WNBA Draft, and is now on the Indiana Fever. She is currently out for the remainder of the season, but is still one of the most popular players.

Cunningham no doubt is a Missouri legend, and she was joined on Saturday by this fan.
