South Carolina football has added a commitment from 4-star wide receiver Javien Robsinson out of McKeesport high school in Pennsylvania, according to a report from Gamecock Central’s Wes Mitchell. The standout WR chose the Gamecocks over offers from Syracuse, Rutgers, Florida State, Miami and others.
Robinson stands at 6-foot-1, 175 pounds and boasts impressive speed and athleticism, which could translate to a receiver or defensive back role in the college ranks. He’s a multi-sport athlete and also competed in track & field.
Robinson currently has an official visit to Columbia scheduled for June 5.
According to 247Sports’ composite rankings, Robinson is considered to be the No. 410 overall prospect in the Class of 2027, as well as the No. 51 wide receiver and No. 14 player out of the state of Pennsylvania.
For South Carolina, Robinson is the 8th commitment of the 2027 cycle in a class that currently ranks 36th in the country. Robsinson is also the 2nd highest-rated prospect in the class, behind only 4-star offensive tackle John Archer.
The Gamecocks have added 3 pass-catchers so far in the Class of 2027, including Robinson, 3-star WR DJ Huggins and 3-star tight end Judah Lancaster.
