South Carolina football has announced that its entire allotment of season tickets is sold out for the 2025 season.
This is massive news for Gamecocks fans after South Carolina finished their 2024 season on a strong note. Here’s the official announcement:
The Gamecocks had an outside chance of making the College Football Playoff after they finished 9-3 and won their final six games to try to make a late push, but it was not enough. South Carolina is returning nine starters, five on offense and four on defense. The Gamecocks also have a big three between both units, with LaNorris Sellers and Nyck Harbor on offense and Dylan Stewart off the edge on defense.
The excitement comes from some big games at home in Columbia, South Carolina. They start in Week 2 against South Carolina State and then play Vanderbilt and Kentucky in September in Williams-Brice Stadium, too. Then, at the end of October, the Gamecocks get home games against Oklahoma and Alabama. Finally, in November, they round out their home schedule with Coastal Carolina and then the Palmetto Bowl against Clemson.
The Gamecocks emerged last season as a team that could have made some noise toward the College Football Playoff. With a loaded schedule, they have the talent to make a compelling case this season at the end of the year. It is also worth noting that the excitement also comes from Sellers under center and potentially being in the running for the Heisman Trophy. This could end up being a historic season in Columbia, South Carolina.
