South Carolina at Florida enters weather delay during halftime

South Carolina has a 17-10 halftime lead over Florida in Gainesville. The Gamecocks are looking for their first SEC win in over a year, while the Gators hope to avoid a second straight loss.
Things might be on hold for a little bit at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium, though. The game has been put under a lightning delay, Florida announced.
The effects of Hurricane Isaias were widespread throughout the Southeast. While the storm has weakened significantly during its trek inward, those effects continue to be felt.
When this one starts back up, the Gamecocks will be looking to carry over their first-half momentum. LaNorris Sellers has thrown for 135 yards and two touchdowns, one to Nyck Harbor and one to Mazeo Bennett. The South Carolina defense has done a good job stopping Florida’s dynamic rushing attack. Jadan Baugh has just 14 yards on seven carries, a week after he was held to 13 yards on 12 carries against Mizzou.
Meanwhile, Aaron Philo connected with Bailey Stockton for a 59-yard touchdown on the Gators’ second drive, part of a 10-of-14, 146-yard first half. Since then, Florida’s offense has stalled out. It’s gone three-and-out, field goal, interception, missed field goal.
We’ll see whether the Gamecocks can stay a step ahead of the Gators when the second half begins, or if the hosts flip the script and remain undefeated at the Swamp.
