Broadie is a major pickup for the Gamecocks in the class of 2027. He’s the No. 427 overall player and the No. 37 edge rusher in the nation for the class of 2027, per 247Sports Composite rankings. He’s also the No. 12 player from the state of North Carolina.

Broadie attends Rolesville High School in Rolesville, North Carolina. He’s listed at 6-foot-2, 225 pounds. Broadie chose South Carolina over numerous power-conference offers, including Georgia. Per 247Sports, the Bulldogs offered Broadie a scholarship back in March.

South Carolina is now up to 17 commitments in the class of 2027. Seven of those prospects hail from either South Carolina (3) or North Carolina (4). Overall, South Carolina’s class ranks in the top 30 nationally, per 247Sports Composite rankings.

The Early Signing Period for the class of 2027 is slated for this December.
