South Carolina lands commitment from 4-star CB out of Georgia

South Carolina has added a blue-chip cornerback to its 2027 recruiting class.
Kelvin Millington is the newest Gamecock commitment. He verbally pledged to play for Shane Beamer‘s program on Thursday afternoon.

Out of Bogart (Georgia) North Oconee High School, Millington is listed as measuring 6-4 and 185 pounds. On the 247Sports Composite, Millington is rated 4-stars, the No. 41 cornerback, No. 42 player in the state of Georgia and No. 380 prospect overall in the Class of 2027.
As one of the top corner prospects in the Peach State, Millington drew some notable interest on the recruiting trail. Cincinnati, Georgia Tech, Pittsburgh and Wake Forest were among his 24 scholarship offers.
For Thursday’s decision, it came down to South Carolina, Texas Tech and Virginia Tech.

With Millington on board, South Carolina now has 12 verbal commitments for 2027. The class currently ranks No. 58 nationally on the Composite.
