Shane Beamer and South Carolina are gearing up for a pivotal date with Mississippi State on Saturday, and they may be welcoming back a pair of key players in the trenches for the game.

The SEC’s weekly availability reports were revealed Wednesday, and while the Gamecocks featured a total of six combined players in the ‘Out’ and ‘Questionable’ categories, the most notable names appeared under the ‘Probable’ tab.

Star defensive end Dylan Stewart and highly touted NC State transfer Jacarrius Peak are both aiming to return to action against the Bulldogs, as neither has formally suited up for South Carolina thus far.

Following a pair of standout seasons to begin his collegiate career, Stewart suffered a back injury during the final half of last fall and dealt with that over the offseason. The edge rusher’s rehab has apparently come to an end now, as Stewart appears to be ready to make his debut this weekend.

Meanwhile, Peak was a sought-after offensive tackle in the portal after he was highly productive with the Wolfpack. But a knee injury that occurred during a team basketball game back in February sidelined him for much of the offseason.

With both Stewart and Peak set to make their season debuts, South Carolina will welcome Mississippi State at 4:15 p.m. ET, with the game being broadcast by the SEC Network.
