South Carolina has officially unveiled what their new Nike jerseys will look like for the 2026 season.
It was reported Thursday morning that the Gamecocks would leave Under Armour and would be expected to join Nike. The move ends a decade-long deal the university had with Under Armour.
According to The Post and Courier, a Board of Trustees meeting was set for Friday morning to discuss the school’s “Apparel Agreement.” During that meeting, 3 new core South Carolina jerseys were revealed.
The Gamecocks’ official football account also tweeted an image that just had a date on it — July 1, 2026 — confirming the switch to Nike.
The Gamecocks originally signed with Under Armour in 2007 for a football-only apparel deal. It wasn’t until 2011 that South Carolina signed a new contract with Under Armour that covered all of the Gamecock teams.
The 2025 South Carolina football team will be the last to wear Under Armour.
This isn’t the only new sponsorship deal the Gamecocks made this offseason. South Carolina has added an on-field sponsor for the 2025 season, and it comes after the NCAA approved all schools to do this last summer. Blanchard CAT and Blanchard Rental will be featured on both 25-yard lines on the Gamecocks’ field for the upcoming season.
