An SEC team quickly rising up the charts in the eyes of oddsmakers has a chance, some say, to run the table down the stretch.
That team is Texas A&M, which has won three straight games since a loss to Alabama, and is building momentum not seen around the SEC outside of the Crimson Tide. The odds come from SportsBetting.com, and pegs Jimbo Fisher’s team at +1,000 odds, which is fourth behind Clemson, Ohio State and Alabama. Georgia and Florida round out the top six, and Auburn is the only other SEC in the mix, with long odds of +15,000.
For the Aggies, in the latest win over Arkansas, a 42-31 victory, Kellen Mond threw for 260 yards and three touchdowns as Texas A&M extended its winning streak over the Razorbacks to nine games.
Mond and the Aggies appear to be improving each week as there appears to be room to establish themselves in second place behind undefeated Alabama in the SEC West. The Aggies moved up one spot to No. 7 in the AP Top 25 poll this week.
Here’s a list of the odds:
Clemson +200
Ohio State +200
Alabama +250
