As former Georgia star looks to move closer to coming back from an ankle injury, the talk of WR A.J. Green being traded from the Cincinnati Bengals is gaining steam, though the team has deflected that notion. A sportsbook has even listed odds for which teams have the best chance to land Green.

Green tore ligaments in the ankle during the first practice of training camp. CB Dre Kirkpatrick hit him while breaking up a pass during a 7-on-7 drill, which caused Green to land awkwardly and roll the ankle. The Bengals have kept him on the active roster so he can return as soon as he’s ready, which could be Week 10, a date Green reportedly told CBS.

ESPN reporter Ben Baby reported that Bengals coach Zac Taylor said the team was willing to “listen to anything” ahead of the Oct. 29 trade deadline. However, he made it clear again that Green is not getting moved.

The Buffalo Bills and Philadelphia Eagles reportedly have the best chances, ahead of the New Orleans Saints, Green Bay Packers and Seattle Seahawks. Longer shots include the Carolina Panthers, Indianapolis Colts and Oakland Raiders.

Obviously Green’s reported availability is about two weeks after the trade deadline, so the Bengals belief in his health and future with the organization should be revealed by Tuesday.
