The No. 11 LSU Tigers are gearing up for another massive SEC matchup tonight under the lights in Death Valley against the South Carolina Gamecocks, and they might be without one of their best pass catchers for the pivotal meeting.
According to ESPN insider Pete Thamel, star LSU wideout Aaron Anderson is reportedly doubtful to start after being listed as questionable for much of the week with a lingering knee injury.

This would obviously be a massive loss for Brian Kelly‘s squad, as Anderson has been the most consistent pass catcher for the Bayou Bengals and star quarterback Garrett Nussmeier so far this year.
Anderson entered Week 7 with the most receiving yards on the team (305) and the second most receptions (23). If he is ultimately ruled out come game time, then the Tigers will be forced to take on a sneaky South Carolina defense shorthanded.
LSU has already been struggling to muster any sort of consistency on offense, and taking arguably its most dynamic weapon out of the mix would only serve to compound those issues against Carolina.
It will be interesting to see how this story continues to develop as kickoff moves closer, and what the Tigers will look like should Anderson ultimately be unable to play.
