The No. 4 Alabama Crimson Tide are set to face off against the South Carolina Gamecocks today as they look to pick up their seventh straight win, while Shane Beamer’s Gamecocks will be looking to snap their 2 game losing skid.

This rematch from last season’s barn burner was set to kick off at 3:30 ET on the ABC network in Columbia, but that kickoff has now been pushed back to 3:50, according to Steve Reed of the Associated Press.

There wasn’t an official reason mentioned for the delay, but it could have something to do with the Ole Miss-Oklahoma game, which could have a late finish in Norman.

Carolina and Alabama are set to follow up the top-15 meeting between the Rebels and the Sooners after their game finishes up, but with the way things are going, it’s unlikely that the OU-Ole Miss game wraps up by 3:30.

As such, it seems most plausible that the reason the kickoff between the Gamecocks and the Tide has been pushed back is simply a matter of programming decisions on the Network’s part.

When things do get started in Columbia, though, both Alabama and South Carolina will be looking to pick up another massive SEC win as they enter the final stretch of their respective regular season slates.
