The Mississippi State Bulldogs had a bit of an uneasy morning as they waited to see what 4-star 2018 WR Malik Heath would do.
Heath is the No. 1 player in Mississippi State’s 2018 class, and the Bulldogs couldn’t afford to lose him, even as former MSU coach Dan Mullen and the Florida Gators made a late push to sign him.
However, on Wednesday morning, Heath officially signed his letter of intent with Mississippi State, putting fans at ease and adding serious credibility to Joe Moorhead’s first MSU class:

According to the 247Sports composite, Heath is the No. 34 wide receiver in the class of 2018 and the No. 1 overall recruit from the state of Mississippi.
Keeping Mullen and the Gators away from Heath was a huge victory for the Bulldogs, and a huge defeat for Florida.
Heath’s loyalty will likely make him an instant favorite to the fans in Starkville.
