Clark Lea will need a new on-campus recruiting coordinator. Taylor Searels is leaving the West End for a position on Steve Sarkisian’s Texas staff.

Searels, an Auburn graduate and former Tigers staffer, confirmed the news Friday.

SEC Network analyst Cole Cubelic calls Searels a rising star as a college football assistant.

Searels joined Derek Mason’s staff ahead of the 2019 season. Per her Vanderbilt online bio, she assisted with all matters involving Vanderbilt’s on-campus recruiting effort, from coordinating official visits to organizing campus tours and scheduling meetings with key athletics and university staff. Searels arrived at Vanderbilt after serving more than three years at the Auburn football program as a student assistant in the Tigers’ recruiting efforts. She graduated from AU in 2019.
