Steve Spurrier reveals prediction for top 15 showdown between Texas and Tennessee

The No. 1 Texas Longhorns are ready to take on their first SEC road test of the season this Saturday as they head up to Rocky Top to face the No. 14 Tennessee Volunteers.
This will be the first time in almost 60 years these 2 iconic programs meet on the gridiron, and massive SEC and College Football Playoff implications will be on the line for both squads.
On3 insider Chris Low sat down with Florida legend Steve Spurrier on Wednesday to discuss the heavyweight bout between the Vols and the Horns, and the old ball coach made a shocking prediction when he picked his hated rival Tennessee to pull off the massive upset.
“I think Tennessee is ready to pull the upset over Texas,” Spurrier said. “The Vols can beat them in Knoxville. Hell, we beat them down here last year, and we went 4-8. Yep, beat Texas. How about that?”
It’s no secret that Spurrier holds a deep resentment for Tennessee, so hearing him actually pick the Vols to come out on top against the top team in all of college football is about as big a surprise as there can be.
If his prediction comes true this Saturday, Tennessee will have pulled off an even bigger shocker and put itself right at the top of the College Football Playoff race in the process.
