Facing a 4th and 4, the Orange executed a fake punt where the punter Jimmy Gregg connected with David Omopariol for 12 yards to keep the drive going.

The Orange got the 2026 season started on a positive note, as they beat New Hampshire 66-3 in Week 1.
California is looking to get its first win of the season, after losing 45-24 to the UCLA Bruins last week. Both teams are trying to take the next step when it comes to competing in the ACC, and starting the conference season off with a win would be huge for either of these two schools.
